Exploring OS Accessibility Features
Students and adults need to have technology adaptations for many reasons, whether it's having something read from a computer, changing contrast on a page, or using magnification.  Fortunately, many of these features are built right into the operating systems we use everyday (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, etc.).  This session will focus on ways to use these accessibility features in a meaningful way.

Geogebra
GeoGebra is a great free interactive tool that all teachers teaching math should at least know about. It's great for explorations and visualizations and allows to create interactive worksheets for students. My son used GeoGebra last year for his 7th grade science project. In the first portion of my presentation I will talk about his project and show how he used GeoGebra. Then I will present some features of the program. The last portion will be a hands-on workshop where the attendees will get a chance to use GeoGebra and ask questions.

Just to make sure, I'm not affiliated with the creatrors of GeoGebra. I'm just a simple user that really likes it.

What Should You Know If You Carry On Campus?
With the recent school shootings, and lots of media attention directed towards teachers taking concealed weapons classes, few know what to expect if they carry on campus.

Sgt. Jones & Sgt. Potter would like to clarify a few details and make sure staff have the correct information, because there is a great deal of misinforation that could do more harm than good if an Active Shooter event occurs.
